The more our corporate worship looks like Old Testament Jewish worship (i.w. a holy building in which to gather, authoritative male priests who rule over others, and a sacrificial system of actions designed to please God, etc...), the more our corporate worship is unlike Paul's and early believers' worship of Christ.

  1. I really liked his "Lessons in Dealing with a Disgruntled Member" post, but this quote not so much. 1) Early Christians built churches once the cessation of persecution made it possible. 2) The sacrifices of the OT and the celebrations of baptism and Eucharist of the NT are a system of actions, but they weren't designed by man; they were ordered by God. 3) Without religious authority there is no way to know the truth-- no way to know Jesus.
