Maxims of St. Philip Neri

"He who wishes for anything but Christ, does not know what he wishes; he who asks for anything but Christ, does not know what he is asking; he who works, and not for Christ, does not know what he is doing."

(I must give credit to my Catholic friend Rachel for posting this first.)

  2. I forgot posting that! I just went and looked up today's maxim, and it's "Men are generally the carpenters of their own crosses," which is uncomfortably true for me at the moment. :P
